Dr. Hines knew that she wanted to be a physician since she was a very small child. She chose Rehabilitation Medicine because she believes that this field represents her ideals. She believes that a doctor is someone who looks at the whole person, not just one part of the body, and does the best to not only add years to the patients’ lives, but life to their years. Dr. Hines completed her undergraduate education at Florida A&M University, medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, and residency training at Temple University Hospital, both in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (her hometown). She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and enjoys using appropriate spine and joint injections as well as diagnostic testing to assist in the healing of her patients. Dr. Hines now calls Elizabeth City her home and is excited to work with anyone who wants to improve their quality of life. She knows this will require a working partnership with her patients and feels the rewards are well worth the effort.
